In SAS Enterprise Miner, you might encounter a memory exception when you try to create a data source in a project.
Here a portion of the full exception when using WebSphere:
org.omg.CORBA.NO_MEMORY: Request failed due to an exception. vmcid: 0x0 minor code: 0 completed: No at com.sas.iom.orb.brg.Engine.parseErrorXML(Engine.java:2068) at com.sas.iom.orb.brg.Engine.checkForErrorPacket(Engine.java:1958) at com.sas.iom.orb.brg.Engine.waitForReply(Engine.java:1924) at com.sas.iom.orb.brg.Engine.sendRequest(Engine.java:828) at com.sas.iom.orb.brg.RequestImpl.invoke(RequestImpl.java:37) at com.sas.iom.SAS._portable_stub_IFileInfo.RecordFormat(_portable_stub_IFileInfo.java:156) at com.sas.svcs.workspace.impl.FilerefServiceImpl.getFileInfo(FilerefServiceImpl.java:313) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(NativeMethodAccessorImpl.java:48) at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.java:25) at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Method.java:600) at com.sas.svcs.remoting.httpinvoker.stateful.StatefulServiceProxyInterceptor.invoke(StatefulServiceProxyInterceptor.java:51) at org.springframework.aop.framework.ReflectiveMethodInvocation.proceed(ReflectiveMethodInvocation.java:172) at org.springframework.aop.framework.JdkDynamicAopProxy.invoke(JdkDynamicAopProxy.java:202)
Here is a portion of the exception when using JBoss. Note that in order to see the exact exception under JBoss, you have to run the java console tracing/log.
org.omg.CORBA.NO_MEMORY: Request failed due to an exception. com.sas.svcs.commons.NestedRuntimeException @ com.sas.svcs.aop.exceptions.ExceptionInterceptor.afterThrowing(ExceptionInterceptor.java:33) @ sun.reflect.GeneratedMethodAccessor730.invoke(Unknown Source) @ sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.java:25) @ java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Method.java:597) @ org.springframework.aop.framework.adapter.ThrowsAdviceInterceptor.invokeHandlerMethod(ThrowsAdviceInterceptor.java:144) @ org.springframework.aop.framework.adapter.ThrowsAdviceInterceptor.invoke(ThrowsAdviceInterceptor.java:129) @ org.springframework.aop.framework.ReflectiveMethodInvocation.proceed(ReflectiveMethodInvocation.java:172) @ org.springframework.aop.interceptor.ExposeInvocationInterceptor.invoke(ExposeInvocationInterceptor.java:89) @ org.springframework.aop.framework.ReflectiveMethodInvocation.proceed(ReflectiveMethodInvocation.java:172) @ org.springframework.aop.framework.JdkDynamicAopProxy.invoke(JdkDynamicAopProxy.java:202) @ $Proxy936.getFileInfo(Unknown Source) @ sun.reflect.GeneratedMethodAccessor700.invoke(Unknown Source) @ sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.java:25) @ java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Method.java:597)
This out-of-memory error occurs independently of the Web application server, so the same error might appear in environments that use WebLogic.
